Beyond seismic events, our communities and businesses are susceptible to many hazards from wildfires to windstorms to acts of terrorism. Do you have an effective business continuity plan? What are the critical ingredients to an emergency response plan? Be prepared, not scared.

A seasoned hospitality and tourism professional, Jenn Houtby-Ferguson, CMP CMM is a sought after speaker and facilitator. Her skill set is a rare balance of executive level experience in hotels and destination marketing combined with an intimate knowledge of the meeting & event industry. Jenn is a familiar face in Parksville as she spent nearly five years with Tigh-Na-Mara Resort as Director of Sales & Marketing and remains a passionate advocate of the Oceanside Region. A tourism and hospitality instructor at Vancouver Island University, Jenn speaks regularly to groups throughout the Pacific North West about the importance of emergency preparedness and is keen to help the industry be ready when disaster strikes.
